Diese Kurse richten sich an Kursteilnehmende, die ihre Ausdrucksfähigkeit festigen und erweitern, dabei auch Wortschatz und Grammatik vertiefen wollen. Ein Mindestmaß an Sprachkenntnissen ist für die Teilnahme erforderlich - mindestens vier bis sechs Jahre Schulenglisch oder Kenntnisse, die etwa auf dem Niveau A2/B1 nach dem Gemeinsamen Europäischen Referenzrahmen angesiedelt sind.
Intensive review of the English grammar, levels B1-B2 with some work from C1/C2 when appropriate. We have a different approach: instead of first explaining a grammar topic and then practising it, which can be very tedious and confusing, we reverse the procedure. We do language tests which reveal our weaknesses, then go into detail to explain what went wrong in our results. Rules, rules, rules, don’t make one a good driver, the practical work is what makes the difference. After completion of this course, you will have learned a lot about what you didn’t know – and you will have a very large collection of material to continue working with on your own.
Conversation course with lots of interesting activities which will help you to expand your vocabulary and improve your speaking skills. Our aim is to speak clearly, concisely, intelligently, and convincingly. This we achieve through language games, guided presentations, role-play, debates and lots of conversation. Grammar will be explained whenever it seems appropriate. We are an "inclusive" group of enthusiastic students and totally international, and would love to have you join us.
